Biography
Sally is the daughter of singer Don Rivers and her mother Liz is a theatrical
costumier. Born in to a show business family, Sally was christened on a theatre
stage and was singing and playing guitar in hotels at the age of 7. By the
time she had reached 15, she already had four seasons of professional theatre
under her belt.
Training
Sally studied singing for four years at the Cornwall School of Music and still in her teens, became a successful cabaret artiste, honing her stage craft in one of the industry's toughest training grounds, working clubs & other such venues throughout the UK.
Television
At the same time, she became a regular on the BBC’s ‘Lovejoy’ and appeared in around 400 TV programmes including Tales Of The Unexpected, The Chief, Dempsey and Makepeace, East of Ipswich, David Copperfield, Hannay, Campion and Choccys Challenge. Only just into her twenties, Sally had become in demand as a session singer, working along side song writers and producers, performing lead and backing vocals for jingles, songs etc.
